On this day in 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue and came across our great land of America! From Sicily, in the name of the Spanish empire, Columbus set out to find the exotic spices of India and instead found the “new” continent of America!
Today, we recognize this great feat and celebrate the discovery of the land that we love so deeply!
